The CEO of the Year award was initiated in 2005 to recognize one individual, from within the ranks of the Top 50 CEOs, who is deemed by the Judges to have had the most outstanding accomplishments during the past year.

The CEO of the Year is the only one of the Top 50 award winners who is given the opportunity to speak at the podium during the Top 50 CEO awards gala. As well, the CEO of the Year is featured on the cover of Atlantic Business Magazine’s May/June issue and is given an extended profile within the magazine.
