The 2010 Juno Host Committee announced official sponsors this morning, along with details about the performances leading up to the Broadcast event on April 18th.
The Platinum level sponsors are pretty much who you would expect to see: Fortis, Steele Communications, The Telegram, and Target Marketing and Communications Inc.
Various communications and beverage companies have sponsored events at varying levels, and College of the North Atlantic had done a lot of design work (including event tickets) as part of their contribution.
The committee also announced a new “Street Level” sponsorship level for small businesses. Current Street Level sponsors are: The Bennett Restaurant Group (which owns nine St. John’s area McDonald’s franchises), Browning Harvey, and the St. John’s Port Authority.
Aside from plugging sponsors, the committee revealed the lineup for the Ruckus on the Edge concerts (April 12-15th) leading up to Junofest (the 16th-18th). Ruckus on the Edge is technically a separate event, put on by the St. John’s Committee to build hype and (hopefully) show everyone a good time. Tickets for those concerts will be available March 1st at Fred’s, O Brien’s, and at a volunteer staffed kiosk downtown. Juno nominees won’t be announced until March 3rd.
